Business System Requirements Planning, Search and Implementation
Finding out what an enterprise really needs in a business system
tool set in order to do business in the most efficient, cost effective and integrated
manner - knowing where to look for the right solution and who to talk to - and devising an
achievable plan within your budgetary and time constraints, are goals we have assisted
numerous Clients in manufacturing, distribution, financial and government sectors to
attain.
Our objectivity is sustained by our independence - we have
intentionally avoided establishing a formal partnership with any and all solution
providers. We sincerely believe that no one solution is applicable to every environment.
Our services include all or any part of Client business application
software, hardware and communication needs.
We employ a proven and disciplined methodology, which includes:
- Use of an extensive checklist of functional and technical platform
requirements, which are reviewed with your project team and customized to highlight
elements which may be unique to your environment (i.e. providing a strategic advantage to
you over your competitors or due to a Customer/Government requirement) that you would like
to see in any proposed solution;
- Prioritization of these requisites (i.e. "essential",
"not necessary on Day One" or "nice to have") and preparation of an
RFI - Request for Information - to be sent to potential solution providers;
- Identification and "short listing" of potential solution
providers;
- Analysis of vendor responses;
- Determination, in concert with your team, of the two or three
candidate vendors who address your needs most closely;
- Preparation - with your team - of business cycle scenarios which
closely mirror the way you do business;
- Establishment of and attendance at demonstration sessions in order to
"prove" the vendors offerings (these sessions typically take three to four
days, in order to enable the Team to get behind the "smoke & mirrors" and to
test the functionality and technical aspects of a solution);
- Construction of cost / benefit (ROI) analyses and assistance in
preparation of internal appropriation requisites; and
- Assistance in the implementation phase(s) as required (please see Project Management/Facilitation).
